I have extremely sensitive skin and have never been able to use much of anything on the my skin  in the past, especially on my face.  I remember I went to a friends makeover party to help support her business (actually her friend's business).  I explained that I was sensitive to skin care products, but I'd come to help her out.  So naturally I bought something that I thought was safe - just lip protection cream (ok, yes, a fancy name for chapstick like stuff).  Guess what?  My lips started to swell.  I decided that makeup and skin care might not be my friends.

I never have really focussed much on washing my face.  I actually used powder milk whenever I did need to wash it.  Otherwise, whatever water hit it in the shower, was the attention that my face got.  Really powder milk is actually very good and leaves your skin very soft.  I've been very blessed with good (yet sensitive) skin.

I hate to admit it but maybe, just maybe, I'm getting older (I'm 40) or maybe it's the lupus, but my skin has needed some extra moisture.  So I turned to the only company I know of that produces excellent safe skin care and mineral makeup.  Yes, I  turned to my fail safe company, Shaklee.  I couldn't believe it just after a few times of using the skin nutrition basics, my skin doesn't even require extra moisture any more.  It's well balanced and certainly doesn't have any allergic reaction to the products.

After more checking, I found out that many makeup companies use a product that can cause cancer.  In fact,  I spoke to a Shaklee rep who said one of his customers has this to say about the makeup industry:

This past year I asked her what it was about Shaklee makeup she enjoyed.  She said the company she works for makes an ingredient that is used in most all cosmetic products around the world.  She went on to say that ingredient can cause cancer.  She did research to find a company that does not use this ingredient in their cosmetics and the only company she could find was Shaklee.

Little did I know that my sensitive skin would lead me right back to Shaklee.  Click here to read more on SAFE Mineral Makeup and Skin Care.
