In my business, I help people (actually coach people) everyday to reach their goal weight through safe weight loss.  I can't tell you how many times I have heard someone tell me, "Oh, it's ok...it's not sugar.  It has no calories.  I  won't gain weight with it."  This is a myth.  This mentality does hinder weight loss.  People do gain weight drinking diet drinks and eating low fat (low sugar) foods.  These foods cause people to crave sugary foods even more than if they didn't have it in the first place.   The key is moderation and limiting your foods that offer no nutritional satisfaction.  This is especially important when it comes to our children's health.  If you have children, just take a look at the students in the school.  I can't believe how many children are truly obese and need a safe weight loss program.  What is sad is many of these children are active but just eat unhealthy foods - pop, chips and sweets.  I just can't understand why parents are setting their children up for poor health.  Convenience????
Is convenience really worth our children's health - imagine your precious child with heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, joint problems, and more....   Hopefully, next time you let your child drink a pop (or even lemonade - still high is sugar and acid), you'll stop and see the image of what this WILL do to your child in the long run.  STOP it now when you can.  Please don't wait until it is too late.
